LW30-72.5 Outdoor High-Voltage SF₆ Circuit Breaker
The LW30-72.5 outdoor SF₆ circuit breaker is designed for 72.5kV transmission and substation applications. Available in tank-type or porcelain-column structures, it leverages self-energy arc extinguishing technology and long-life mechanical design to provide reliable operation in medium- and high-voltage networks. The breaker is ideal for high-demand switching scenarios such as capacitor bank operations.

Core Operating Principle
The breaker uses a “thermal expansion + auxiliary blow” self-energy arc extinguishing system, with:
Optimized arc contact and electric field design, including shielding on the contact fingers for uniform field distribution.
Split-type gas cylinder utilizing arc energy to assist in quenching, reducing operating force, and restrike probability.
Fast dielectric recovery is suitable for switching capacitor banks under transient recovery voltage.
It pairs with the CT26 fully-spring operating mechanism, storing energy directly from the closing arm to the trip spring, reducing transmission losses and maintenance requirements. The oil-free, gas-free design aligns with modern high-voltage equipment standards.
