The GW8 - 40.5/72.5/126kV neutral point Isolator switch is an outdoor high-voltage switchgear mainly used to connect the neutral point of a transformer under no-load conditions. The following is a detailed introduction:
Structural Composition: This Isolator switch consists of a single pole and an operating mechanism. The single pole includes a base, support insulators, a conductive arm, contacts, and other components.
Working Principle: The operating mechanism drives the conductive arm through a connecting rod to achieve the opening and closing operations of the Isolator switch. When in the open position, the moving contact separates from the stationary contact, creating a distinct insulating gap to isolate the circuit. When closing, the moving contact rotates and correctly meshes with the stationary contact to make the circuit conduct.
Operation Modes: It can be equipped with a CJ-type motor operating mechanism or a CS8-type manual operating mechanism. The CJ type motor operating mechanism has multiple voltage options, such as AC 380V, AC 220V, DC 220V, and DC 110V. The control circuit voltage is the same as the motor voltage. The opening and closing times is 7±1 seconds, and the output angle is 180°. The control circuit voltage of the CS8-5 type manual operating mechanism is AC 220V.
