1. Product Overview

The VSD-12GD is a newly developed integrated three-position solid insulated vacuum circuit breaker specially designed for KYN28-12 withdrawable switchgear.

This innovative product integrates the functions of:

into one compact unit, fully replacing the traditional combination solution of:

  • VS1 Vacuum Circuit Breaker

  • GN30 Isolation Switch

  • JN15 Earthing Switch

The breaker adopts APG epoxy resin solid insulated poles combined with a modular spring operating mechanism, featuring compact structure, complete mechanical interlocking system, reliable operation, maintenance-free performance, and strong environmental adaptability.

It is an ideal solution for modern 12kV compact and high-reliability medium-voltage distribution systems.

4. Three-Position Structure & Safety Interlocking

The VSD-12GD is equipped with three independent interlocked operating positions to ensure maximum operational safety:

The main circuit is connected for normal power transmission.

ISOLATED Position

Visible isolation gap for maintenance and physical disconnection.

EARTHED Position

The main circuit is reliably grounded to ensure personnel safety during maintenance.

The breaker is equipped with a complete mechanical interlocking system (Five Prevention Interlock) to effectively prevent dangerous misoperations such as:

  • Closing onto the earthing position
